Our History

JVS Christmas Lighting is a family owned and operated professional decorating company specializing in Christmas, holiday and event lighting.

In 2005, Chief Executive Elf Joe Soccodato started the business with a simple idea: bring the spirit of the season to people by decorating their homes. He came from an electronics background, having worked several years in the field, and after researching the lighting industry and attending a lighting conference, he began.

As Joe puts it: there is nothing like the first time the Christmas decoration lights go on, and the excitement and enjoyment that brings out the child in all of us.

Within his first year in business he had gained many loyal, satisfied clients, and the company has grown every season since.

We are dedicated to the Christmas spirit through the gift of our lights.

There is no sleeping in the Christmas industry. The elves work year round at JVS, because performance, value and aesthetics are what it takes to stay the very best in the decorating industry.

We focus on four things: world-class client service, experience, reliability, and honest pricing.

Today JVS serves clients throughout Northern New Jersey, Rockland County, NY, and surrounding communities within our service area.

JVS does not just hang lights. It is a full-service holiday and event lighting company from start to finish, and the installation, service, removal and storage of holiday lighting are our specialty.

Pairing creativity and integrity with some of the newest, high-quality commercial-grade lighting on the market is what sets JVS apart.

JVS is a member of the Christmas Light Installation Pros Association, made up of professional Christmas light installers from around the United States. CLIPA is dedicated to preserving and advancing the industry through proper training and continual education.
